How do I delete my account?

Deleting your Made Glow account is one tap in-app, or one email if you can't access the app.

In-app deletion

1. Open the app and tap your avatar in the top-right.
2. Tap Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
3. Confirm with a one-time SMS or email code.
4. Tap Delete. The account is immediately frozen.

By email

From the email address associated with your Made Glow account, send a message to [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request." Include your phone number for identity verification. We process within 5 business days.

What gets deleted

• Your name, profile photo, contact info, addresses.
• Saved payment methods (the Stripe token is revoked immediately).
• Search history, favorites, chat messages.
• Push tokens and device trust records.

This is irreversible after the 14-day grace period. During the first 14 days, you can sign back in to cancel deletion.

What we retain

To meet legal, financial, and tax obligations, we retain (in anonymized form):

• Booking and payment records — required by IRS retention rules and Stripe's compliance obligations. Booking metadata (date, service type, city, amounts) is kept; identifying information is replaced with a hash.
• Trust-and-safety records of any incident reports — required by state cosmetology boards and required to protect future clients of any pro associated with a report.
• Audit logs of consent, terms acceptance, and major account changes — required for regulatory compliance.

If you have an active booking

Deletion is blocked while you have an unfinished booking. Either complete or cancel the booking, then delete. Pre-paid balance and gift cards are forfeited on deletion — withdraw or use them first.

Beauty Pros and account deletion

If you're a Beauty Pro, account deletion also revokes your platform credentials and ends any active payouts. Outstanding payouts are processed normally; 1099-K filing for the year is unaffected. More on pro payouts.
