What's the refund policy?

Full refund if the pro doesn't show up, doesn't meet quality expectations (within 24 hours of the appointment), or cancels on you. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. The full legal policy is at /legal/refunds.

Made Glow's refund policy is built around three guarantees. The legal text is at /legal/refunds; the practical version is here.

Guarantee 1 — Pro no-show

If your pro doesn't show within 30 minutes of the scheduled start (and isn't responding to chat), you're entitled to a full refund of the deposit plus a $20 booking credit. Full no-show flow here. Tap Bookings → Cancel for late arrival and the refund is automatic.

Guarantee 2 — Service quality

If the service didn't meet professional standards (a botched color, a chipped manicure on day 1, a service materially different from what was booked), file a satisfaction claim within 24 hours of the appointment ending. Most pros offer a free fix; if they can't, we refund the service price. Quality-claim walkthrough here.

Guarantee 3 — Pro cancellation

If your pro cancels on you, you get a full refund of the deposit plus a $20 booking credit, automatically. We also help you re-book a replacement pro at the same time slot when possible.

What's not refundable

  • Late client cancellations (within 24 hours, see cancellation policy).
  • Tip — once submitted, tips are routed to the pro's account. To revoke a tip you added by mistake, message support within 1 hour.
  • Cosmetic preference — if the service was performed correctly per what you booked but you don't like the result, that's a coaching moment for next time, not a refund moment. Bridal trials are explicitly built for this purpose.
  • Damage covered by insurance — those go through our liability policy, not the refund flow.

How refunds are issued

Refunds go back to the original payment method:

  • Apple Pay / Google Pay — instantly visible in your wallet ledger; the bank takes 1–3 business days to settle.
  • Credit card — 5–10 business days to your statement.
  • Made Glow gift card balance — instant return to your in-app balance.

Partial refunds

If only part of the service was unsatisfactory (e.g., the haircut was great but the gloss wasn't), we'll issue a proportional refund. The pro proposes the percentage, you confirm, and the refund processes.

Pre-authorization holds

Some bookings put a temporary hold on your card before the actual charge. Holds release within 5–7 business days even without an active refund request. Your bank determines exact timing.
