Can I book a service for someone else?

Booking for someone else (a partner, family member, friend) is fully supported. The right approach depends on what you want.

Option 1: Made Glow gift card

Tap the home-screen avatar and pick Send a gift card. Choose an amount ($50, $100, $200, or custom), add a note, and send via email or SMS. The recipient gets a code that applies to any service in any of our 12 launch cities. Gift cards never expire.

Option 2: Book under your account, at their address

If you're booking a surprise (bridal-shower glam, post-baby massage, a recovery facial), you can book the appointment in your own account and put their address as the destination. You handle payment; they receive the service. Add their phone number to the booking notes so the pro can confirm directly with the recipient on arrival. The pro will need to verify identity for liability and minor-service rules.

Option 3: Pay for someone with their account

If the recipient already has a Made Glow account, the cleanest setup is to send them a gift card balance — they pick the pro and time. This avoids identity-verification awkwardness on the day-of and gives them flexibility. How to create an account.

What about minors?

Beauty services for minors (under 18) require an in-person parent or guardian who signs the pro's intake form. Tattoo-adjacent services (microblading, lash extensions in some states) have higher age restrictions set by state board — the pro will surface this before booking. Children under 16 cannot receive injectable or chemical-peel services on the platform.

Bridal parties and group gifts

For bridal showers or group gifts where multiple people contribute, message the Glow concierge — we set up a shared payment link that applies the combined balance to a multi-pro event. More on group bookings.

Privacy

If you book at someone else's address, that address is private to the pro and you — it's not shared in any other context, never displayed publicly, and is removed from the pro's view after the service is complete.
