How do pros get paid?
Made Glow uses Stripe Connect Express for Pro payouts. Stripe handles the money movement, KYC, and tax reporting.
How money flows
- The client pays Made Glow at booking (deposit) and after service completion (remainder + tip).
- Funds land in Made Glow’s Stripe account.
- The marketplace fee is deducted per the published fee schedule (see /terms §6); the remainder is transferred to your Stripe Connect Express account.
- Stripe forwards your balance to your linked bank account or debit card on the payout schedule you choose.
Marketplace fee schedule
The canonical fee schedule lives in /terms and the Pro Agreement:
- 15% on a Pro’s first booking with a given client.
- 4% on returning bookings (any subsequent booking by the same client with the same Pro).
- A $1.99 consumer service fee per booking.
Payout schedule
Configure in Pro app → Earnings → Payout schedule. Stripe’s standard payout schedules apply (typically daily, weekly, or manual).
Linking your account
During onboarding, Stripe Connect collects your bank account or debit card. Made Glow staff don’t see your account details. You can update at any time.
Tip handling
Tips flow through the same payout, with no marketplace fee taken on tips. Tips show as a separate line item on your Earnings tab and on the year-end 1099-K where applicable. Tipping math, client side.
Holds and reserves
Stripe may hold a portion of payouts in reserve for new accounts to cover potential chargebacks. The reserve releases as your account establishes platform history.
Refunds and chargebacks
If a client receives a refund, the corresponding amount is debited from your next payout. If multiple bookings are refunded in a short window, your balance can go negative — Stripe will draw from your bank account to settle.
Tax forms
Stripe generates a 1099-K where required by law. See the IRS for current thresholds. Full tax guide here.
