Does Made Glow carry insurance?
Made Glow operates a two-sided marketplace; we do not provide beauty services. Like other service marketplaces, we connect consumers with licensed independent professionals who carry their own coverage as part of running their business.
Pro responsibility
Every Pro on Made Glow is a licensed beauty professional and an independent contractor. Each Pro represents and warrants in the Pro Agreement that they carry adequate professional-liability insurance, general-liability insurance, and any other coverage required by law or appropriate for the services they offer.
If something happens during a booking
- Service quality issues — start with the in-app refund and satisfaction-guarantee process. Most cosmetic dissatisfaction issues are resolved this way, not through insurance.
- Property damage or bodily injury — report it through the in-app SOS or email [email protected]. Made Glow's trust-and-safety team responds within 4 business hours (immediately for after-hours emergencies) to document the incident, share evidence we hold (chat logs, location pings, timestamps), and connect you with the Pro's insurance contact information so you can file a claim against the Pro's policy.
- Off-platform bookings. If a Pro asks you to pay outside the Made Glow app, that's a violation of the Pro Agreement — please report it.
For Pros: your insurance is your responsibility
As an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for carrying your own professional-liability and general-liability coverage. Most beauty-pro policies are inexpensive and cover the typical mobile-services scenarios. We strongly encourage every Pro to carry coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and to keep that coverage active for the entire time you take bookings on the platform. See the Pro Agreement for the controlling terms.
